Prayers for an Ox

We just received our first report from our newest Bible Workers! These workers had been serving part time in their area, but they wanted to do more. By the grace of God we were able to hire them to serve their people full time. Bible Worker Boyol, pictured left, shared this testimony about how God is revealing Himself to the people in a mighty way:

One day, as Boyol was passing through the village where he serves, he heard what sounded like a woman crying in one of the nearby houses. He walked to the house to find out what was happening and met a woman named Rani. She tearfully explained to him that her family’s ox had been sick for the last few days. It looked like it was going to die.

Boyol talked with Rani and her family for a long time, and eventually he asked if he could pray for God to heal the ox. They agreed. He prayed and read to them Psalm 51:1 which says

Have mercy upon me, O God,
According to Your lovingkindness;
According to the multitude of Your tender mercies,
Blot out my transgressions.

After the prayer, the family felt much more calm. Boyol left and returned the next day to discover that God had healed the ox. “They invited me to visit them again to learn more about JESUS,” Boyol said. “I praise GOD for everything.”

Please pray for Rani and her family as they learn more about the Living God who saved their ox and who gave His Son to save them from sin.
