Manipur School Students Start Classesin New Classrooms!

An Update from the Manipur School Project

After watching the construction of their new classroom building–and helping build it by carrying sand, hammering rocks, etc.–for more than a year, the Manipur School students are excited to study in the first two classrooms!

The children's Sabbath school class was the first to use the new classrooms, and now the tenth-grade students are using them for their studies.

The construction crew has been preparing to pour the concrete slab roof for the next four classrooms.

They have installed crossbeams and bamboo poles to support boards, which they will pour concrete over.

The construction crew is doing all this work without heavy machinery.

Although we still have a long way to go before the building is finished, we praise God to see this progress. These new classrooms will improve the experience of the students attending the school and allow more to attend as well.

Some of the students' grandparents were able to come and see the new classrooms.

"They were so happy to see their grandchildren sitting in a new classroom," Pasang Tamang, Director of the Manipur School, shared. "It's the first time they've ever seen their grandchildren have such a good room to study in. They are so happy and thankful to see what the Lord is doing here."

The grandparents send their appreciation to JFA (including everyone who has prayed for and supported this project) for providing this opportunity for their grandchildren.

Please continue to pray with us for the construction of this building. We know God is leading at this school, and this building will be a blessing to the students and everyone associated with the school. Please also pray for this school's students, staff, and teachers.
