Satpal Discovers the Source of Happiness

Satpal wished for his life to be different. His family had a lot of problems, and all his parents ever seemed to do was argue. No one in his life was ever happy.

But then he started to notice his neighbors. They were different.

Satpal often watched his neighbors and their interactions with each other. They sang, and spoke, and laughed together. They seemed so happy all the time. Satpal wondered how that could be possible.

One day when he went outside his home, he saw Mohan*, a JFA Bible worker who was on his way to visit the neighbors. Mohan visited them often, Satpal had noticed. Maybe he would know why they were so different.

"How come these people stay happy all the time?” Satpal asked Mohan. “I don't see how it's possible to be so happy in this world. Don’t they have any problems in their life?"

“Well, it is not that they have no troubles or problems," Mohan told him, "But these people have learned to trust in God. They stay happy because they put their worries on Jesus, who is the answer to all their problems."

Satpal wanted to be happy like his neighbors, so he asked Mohan if he would teach him more about Jesus. Mohan studied the Bible with Satpal and taught him how to pray. Satpal began to see that what Mohan told him was true: with Jesus, he could experience happiness despite the problems in his life. He accepted Jesus as his Savior and is now a member of the church where Mohan serves.

What a blessing for Satpal to learn the true source of happiness! Please pray for his family to learn and accept what Satpal has learned about Jesus.
