Missing Baby Goat Leads to Jesus

A little old lady lived in a small village in India. She lived with her son in a small house and took care of a small herd of goats. Like most of her neighbors, the old lady was Hindu, and she regularly went to the Hindu temple to worship her Hindu gods.
One of her neighbors, whose name was Mary, was not like the rest. She never went to the Hindu temple, and she didn't seem to have a normal job either. She appeared to spend most of her time knocking on people's doors and visiting them. Sometimes, Mary came to her house to visit her too.
"How are you? How is your son?" she would ask. "Do you have any problems? I am a Bible Worker. I know of the one true God. His name is Jesus. He wants to help you whenever you face problems. He is the only living God who can truly answer our prayers..."
Every time Mary came, she tried to tell the old lady about Jesus, but the old lady wasn't so sure. She had worshipped her Hindu gods since childhood, and her ancestors had worshipped them for thousands of years. How could they not be the true gods?
One day, the little old lady was out checking on her small herd of goats when she realized her baby goat was missing! Where could it have gone?
She searched high and low for her baby goat. In her house, behind her house, down the road at her neighbor's house, in the thickets, and behind rocks, but the baby goat was nowhere to be found.
One day, two days, three days. She looked everywhere she could think of, but she still could not find her baby goat.
"What do I do," she thought to herself. "What if I never find the baby goat?"
“In her dream she saw Jesus!”
Then she remembered what her neighbor Mary had told her. According to Mary, Jesus could answer her prayers, and He wanted to help her with her problems.
Since she was all out of ideas, maybe, just maybe, Mary's God could help. So, she went to Mary and explained her problem. Mary gladly prayed for the old lady to find her baby goat.
That night, when the old lady went to bed, she had a very unusual dream. In her dream, she saw Jesus! And He was standing above the Hindu gods she had been worshipping in the temple.
Jesus spoke to her and told her that she would soon get back her baby goat.
The next morning, the old lady's son was leaving for work when a Still Small Voice in his mind inspired him to take a different road than usual. And along that road, he found the missing baby goat!
He gently scooped the goat up into his arms and took it home to his mother. She was so happy to see the goat again!
The next time she saw Mary, the old lady excitedly told her about the miracle Jesus had done for her. She wanted to know more about Jesus, so Mary invited her to join her prayer group, and she has been attending ever since.
Jesus cares about each of us and our problems, whether big or small; whether lost keys, a missing goat, or anything else. Jesus wants us to bring our problems to Him, so He can help us and show us how much He loves us.
Many people around the world, including hundreds of millions of people in India, have never heard of Jesus, and even if they have, most of them don’t understand who He really is.
