Hi, I am Isaac May, and I hope to develop the project of working as an artist at Butterfly Paradise in Cambodia.

Working as a wildlife artist is a good way to build friendships with people, connect them with nature, and talk about spiritual things. Nature is God’s second book, and connecting them to it through art opens the door to spiritual thought and conversation. If you can teach them about spiritual things through nature, every time they see those things, they will be reminded of the lessons God has for them.

Creation is the beginning of our story and our relationship to God. Understanding God to be the creator of everything we see is foundational. It’s a big part of Revelation 14:7’s final call to us:

“Fear God and give glory to Him, for the hour of His judgment has come; and worship Him who made heaven and earth, the sea and the springs of water”.

Butterfly Paradise is a place where visitors have a variety of experiences. Peaceful koi ponds, waterfalls, flowers, reptiles, and butterflies in their various stages of development bring guests into close contact with the natural world.

The art room serves as a place where they can reflect on the nature they experienced by creating art. The purpose of the program is to serve students of the k-12 school, the people of Siem Reap, along with international visitors of Butterfly Paradise by studying nature through art, all with the purpose of building a connection from the creation to the Creator.
