Mumbai, India, is one of the world’s most-populated cities, with over 27 million residents and only 20 churches in the metro area. Over the years, several of these churches have become condemned due to lack of funds for repairs. We want these churches repaired and more churches built in this massive city!

Current Project:

The Chembur church was condemned in 2012. This church was well established with a Bible Worker and pastor’s quarters. The congregation has had to rent another church’s facilities each Sabbath for over ten years. 

Our dream is to rebuild the church with a center of influence so it can be a light to its community all week long. After several delays, we are nearly ready to start demolishing the old church and building the new one!

Past Projects:

Ghatkopar: Our most recent church rebuild is the Ghatkopar church, located next to a local neighborhood mosque. This church was also unsafe, with huge cracks in the concrete beams. The construction team rebuilt the church and redesigned it to double the sanctuary’s size. The church members and pastor are so grateful to worship in their church again. 

Wadala: The Wadala church was also falling apart. See the beautiful transformation from before until now!

Thane: The Thane church members prayed for eight or nine years for $8,000 to build a second story on their church so they could have a larger Sanctuary. We were able to share the need, and people responded. The church members were so grateful to God for answering their prayer!
