Cambodia Youth Conference: Prayer Prevails

The GO2020 youth conference in Cambodia was a success!

After many trials and much prayer, GO 2020, our Cambodia youth conference, took place December 25-29. There were over 110 in attendance from across multiple Cambodian provinces who came together for this time of spiritual revival.

Prayer was a major focus of the youth conference and each morning started at 5:00 a.m. with united prayer, where at its peak over 70 youth were present. Featured speakers included Ramon and Shandy Tengkano, Pastor Hang Dara (Cambodia Adventist Mission Secretary), Tim Maddocks, Pastor MC Shin, Pastor Ung Chanta, Seing Kimsreing (CAM Education director), Pastor Touch Sarith, Jonathan and Hannah Hill, and Abigail Koo.

Sabbath was definitely the highlight of this conference. Sabbath morning included a modeled guided-walk through the Sanctuary where each instrument was highlighted and explained from the Bible.  And in the evening they ended with an Agape feast that included communion and foot washing. This was definitely a time of rededication to the Lord and to the commission we have been given.

During the convention a member of our Eternity Builders team shared the idea of having a two month training in Cambodia for young people. This training will cover many in depth biblical topics and then take the young people out to practice sharing what they have learned.

After sharing this idea with the Cambodian youth, over 70 signed up as interested in receiving this type of training.Keep the young people, youth leaders, and our team in Cambodia in your prayers as we move forward to Glorify God in Cambodia this year!

Thank you to each of you who helped make the GO2020 youth conference possible through prayers and gifts. Your support has helped empower the youth of Cambodia to live for Christ this year and spark a revolution in this unreached country!
