WHAT BROUGHT THE NORTONS TO THE MISSION FIELD?

God called Robbie and Kasey Norton to the mission field in Thailand in 2018 after Jon and Natalie Wood came to present at their church one Sabbath. Kasey, specifically, was shocked when she realized her own lack of sympathy for the unreached. Both Robbie and Kasey went home, convicted to go and share Jesus with those who had not heard.

In 2019, The Nortons and five of their eight children moved to Sukhothai, Thailand, a city with no Adventist presence. They went with a plan, not to start a ministry, but to pray and ask for the Holy Spirit to show them what to do. A few weeks later, God sent them two Thai children, siblings named Wind and Sky, who desperately needed safe and loving homes.

God continued to send children to the Nortons, many of whom had experienced abuse and neglect and/or were at risk for trafficking. They outgrew their rented house in the city, and in 2020, they moved their still-growing children’s home to an 11 acre property a few miles away.

Since then, they have taken in more than 20 children. They aim to show the love of Jesus to these kids and provide them with a safe place to play, grow, and learn. They have also opened the first SDA church plant in Sukhothai.
